About Us

Nestled in the beautiful foothills of Ventura County Bella Vista Avocado Ranch produces some of the tastiest avocados you’ll find. Ventura County is well known for its alluvial clay soil which retains the soil moisture necessary to produce an excellent crop. We do not use pesticides and are sparing in our use of herbacides, so we are as close to Organic as you can get without being orgainic certified. We are currently working to be Organic Certified and will post updates once we achieve that goal.

WILL MY AVOCADO TREES EVER GROW FRUITS?

Hard to say! Sometimes avocado plants will begin growing fruits after their 3rd or 4th year, others take 15+ years, and some never do. Having several avocado trees grow together helps to aid pollination, increasing the chance for the trees to bear fruit. However, don’t expect the fruit to be anything like the avocado that yielded your seed. Commercial avocados are grown from grafted branches to control the outcome of the fruit, naturally grown avocados may be different than its parent!
